Features and Design

With a buoyancy of approx. 280 N the SIERRA 300 belongs to the 275 N class. The powerful Winglet buoyancy chamber generates an exceptionally high freeboard and ensures an optimal rotation force thanks to its side wings.

The ergonomically preformed shoulder area and the compact design ensure optimal freedom of movement. The lifejacket is particularly suitable for long periods of wear, as the neck remains completely free and unencumbered. The head and helmet can be moved unrestrictedly without the lifejacket hindering “looking up”. Thanks to the adjustable and padded waist belt, the lifejacket can be individually adjusted to the size of the user and is comfortable to wear.

The useful click buckle, a crotch strap and sprayhood preparation are essential standards and therefore already included.

For additional safety, the buoyancy chamber is equipped with a pocket to stow the easyRESCUE AIS emergency beacon. For better visibility the protective cover is equipped with reflective strips.

Loops at the front of the lifejacket can hold speaker microphones. A practical stowage pocket with zipper is located at the right side of the cover.

The protective cover of the SIERRA 300 NEON is also equipped with a highly abrasion-resistant and easy-to-clean PVC coating in neon yellow.

  • Available in two variants:
    • SIERRA 300 in blue (part no. 17119)
    • SIERRA 300 NEON in neon yellow (part no. 17223)
Advantages

The advantages of the SIERRA 300 are its low weight and particularly comfortable fit. It has been developed for universal use with long wearing times. There is also a pocket for a name tag in the front area.

    • Buoyancy chamber:
The powerful Winglet buoyancy chamber generates an exceptionally high freeboard and ensures an optimal rotation force thanks to its side wings. A fixed pocket can accommodate the easyRESCUE rescue transmitter.
The buoyancy chamber can be easily separated from the protective cover and thus enables the two individual components to be exchanged in the event of damage and the protective cover to be washed.
    • SECUMATIC 4001S
The SIERRA 300 is equipped with the patented SECUMATIC 4001S automatic inflation device. A single indicator shows when the inflator and CO2 cartridge are ready for use. In the advanced version of the SECUMATIC 4001S automatic inflation device, the moving parts are gray and the new cartridge lock prevents the CO2 cartridge from being released unintentionally.
    • SECUMAR-Window
The SECUMAR window-design enables a direct view of the inflation device without opening the protective cover. This feature let you see at any time whether the inflation device is ready for use or not, by means of a single-coloured indicator.
    • Comfort and freedom of movement
The life jacket fits close to the body and is not bulky. The ergonomically preformed shoulder area, the padded side and back parts and the compact design ensure optimal freedom of movement and a good wearing comfort.
    • Donning and doffing
With the patented SECUMAR CLICK-buckle the donning and doffing of the lifejacket is very easy, it is donned like a normal jacket. When it snaps in, a clear “click” can be heard as an acoustic signal that it is locked correctly. The handling of the buckle is easy, even when wearing gloves. To open the buckle, both red buttons must be pressed to prevent unintentional opening. If necessary (e.g. in an emergency situatian) the SECUMAR 50-CLICK buckle can also be opened under load.
    • Protectice cover:
The protective cover is equipped with loops for fitting speaker microphones and a hand-held radio and a pocket for individual identification. Inside the protective cover there is a preparation for the subsequent installation of a spray hood.
    • Underlying standards:
DIN EN ISO 12402-2 (275N-performance class)
