Reddingsvestverlichting redt levens in het donker maar ook overdag bij slecht zicht omdat ze over een lange afstand kunnen worden ontdekt en zijn van enorm belang voor het lokaliseren van een schipbreukeling, vooral van dichtbij.

De reddingsvestverlichting SECULUX LED II<\/a> (maar ook de oude versies: SECULUX LED, SECULUX CFX-II, WAB-H12 en WAB-MX8) wordt automatisch geactiveerd bij contact met water; onmiddellijk en absoluut betrouwbaar. Omdat de stroombron een door water activeerbare cel is. De lamp heeft een uitschakelfunctie.<\/p>\n

Het LED continu licht brandt maar liefst 10,5 uur met een lichtintensiteit van 1,5 candela. Bij interne tests was de brandtijd ruim 24 uur met minimaal 0,75 candela.<\/p>\n

De minimale eisen volgens SOLAS zijn 8 uur brandtijd bij 0,75 cd. Daarmee overtreft de LED-lamp de SOLAS-eisen vele malen.<\/p>\n

Extra beveiliging<\/strong><\/p>\n

In het donker en bij slecht zicht overdag is het licht over een grote afstand te zien. Het is een stukje actieve veiligheid, want een slachtoffer van een ongeval heeft een extra mogelijkheid om de aandacht van reddingswerkers te trekken. Dit vergroot op zijn beurt de kans op snel herstel en overleving aanzienlijk – vooral wanneer elke minuut telt bij lage watertemperaturen.<\/p>\n

Het reddingsvestlicht maakt het gemakkelijker om slachtoffers te herkennen. Het wordt gebruikt voor lokalisatie op korte afstand.<\/p>\n

Andere soorten lokalisatie<\/strong><\/p>\n

Alle reddingsvesten van SECUMAR zijn bovendien uitgerust met een 2-tonig signaalfluitje voor akoestisch alarm en lokalisatie.<\/p>\n

Zeenoodzenders zijn ook nuttig voor waarschuwingen en lokalisatie buiten het nabije bereik.<\/p>\n
