“guts’n glory” is a brand new Rogers 46 and its 14 crew are certainly out for glory on the local and international regatta scene. SECUMAR will also be there to help them with their dream, supplying the team with Survival 275 lifejackets.
The boat is being launched in Kiel in May and after a training and tuning week, the official launch celebrations will take place at the classic ‘Round Fyn’ race. After that the programme will include Kiel Week, Round Gotland, Round Bornholm, the Baltic Sprint Cup, HSH Nordbank Blue Cup and finally Flensburg Fjord Week.
“It’s clear that you need to watch out for more than wind and waves on board; your safety is the most important….and you can’t do better than SECUMAR!” commented Thomas Gutenstein, mainsail trimmer on “guts’n glory”. All the crew were hugely impressed with their tour of the factory and how the lifejackets were produced and tested. “With our involvement in the team one can see that top flight offshore sailing and safety can go hand in hand” stated SECUMAR MD Jan-Ulrich Bernhardt.
